Cookie policy.

Last updated: May 2026

This policy explains what cookies and similar technologies we use on clarityaccounts.co.uk, why we use them, and how you can control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website saves to your device when you visit. Cookies let the site remember things about your visit, like your preferences, and help us understand how the site is used. Some technologies (local storage, pixels) work similarly and are covered by this policy too.

The cookies we use

We keep things deliberately minimal. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or social-media re-targeting pixels.

Essential cookies

These are required for the site to function — for example, keeping you signed into the Clarity Portal or remembering that you've dismissed the cookie banner. They don't require your consent under UK law but you can still block them in your browser if you wish.

Analytics cookies

We use privacy-friendly analytics to count visitors and understand which pages people find useful. The data is aggregated and anonymous — we cannot identify individuals from it, and it is never shared with advertisers.

Third-party services

A small number of pages embed third-party content (for example, an embedded map or a contact form). Those services may set their own cookies governed by their own policies. We only embed third parties where there is a clear functional benefit.

Managing your cookies

You're always in control. You can:

  • Use the cookie banner to accept or decline non-essential cookies.
  • Clear or block cookies in your browser settings — aboutcookies.org has step-by-step guides for every major browser.
  • Use private / incognito browsing to prevent cookies being stored beyond your session.

Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working properly — for example, signing in to the portal.

Changes to this policy

If we change the cookies we use, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date at the top.
